Copyright takedown procedure

Castivio respects intellectual property rights and complies with the notice-and-takedown provisions of applicable copyright law, including the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This policy sets out how rights holders can submit a claim and how we process it.

1. Filing a takedown notice

If you believe content associated with Castivio infringes a copyright you own or represent, please send a written notice by email to our designated agent. Your notice should include:

  • Your full contact details (name, address, email and phone).
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is being infringed.
  • The specific URL(s) where the alleged infringement is located.
  • A statement, made in good faith, that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

2. Our procedure

Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will review the claim promptly, typically within 24–48 hours. If the notice is complete and appears valid, we will disable or remove access to the identified content and notify the affected user where applicable.

3. Counter-notice

If you believe content was disabled in error, you may submit a counter-notice containing your contact details, identification of the material, a statement under penalty of perjury that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court.

4. Repeat infringers

In accordance with law, we terminate the accounts of users found to be repeat infringers.
